About the Role

NeuVerge-Tron is a newly established European software company, headquartered in Munich, designed to operate fully aligned with EU regulations and cybersecurity standards.

For this position we are open to consider experienced candidates across Germany (prefferably) or Europe.

Key responsibilities​:
1. Be responsible for interpreting regional market-access requirements and national grid codes for energy management controllers of utility-scale energy storage power plants; compare differences with existing controller solutions, break down the differential requirements of various countries’ grids, and formulate corresponding system solutions.
2. Be responsible for software version planning of the energy management controller for utility-scale energy storage power plants; review and gatekeep designs of control strategies; be able to carry out simulation of logic control and algorithms and perform system stability analysis (e.g., RT-LAB, PSCAD).
3. Be responsible for the system design (including protection) of the energy management controller for utility-scale energy storage power plants and the selection of corresponding supporting hardware; complete the writing of technical documents and software/hardware user manuals for related equipment of utility-scale energy storage power plants.
4. Participate in platform product research, requirements analysis, and solution writing for the energy management controller of utility-scale energy storage power plants.

Your profile

1. Master’s degree or above in Power Electronics, Power Systems, Renewable Energy, Automation, or related majors; 5+ years of experience in R&D, technical solutions, and overall system design in the renewable energy and power industry. Experience in power systems, power supply industry, or power automation products is preferred.
2. Professional proficiency in English.
3. Proficient in at least one country’s grid-interconnection requirements; clear understanding of grid codes, grid compliance testing, and the key points of on-site test plans.
4. Familiar with the main functional framework of monitoring and control for EMS; capable of extracting EMS requirements from grid codes, grid compliance testing, and on-site test plans, and outputting corresponding functional documentation with summary and analysis.
5. Able to convert standards/specifications into product feature requirements, and discuss with product and R&D teams (e.g., parameter settings of a given function and each parameter meanings).
6. Understanding of simulation modelling such as PSCAD; the ability to obtain relevant materials is a plus.
