We are looking for an EV Field Service Engineer to help deliver reliable, high-performing charging solutions across Germany. Curious what this is all about? Let’s dive right in:

  • Monitor commissioned EV chargers remotely, identify potential issues early, and keep fleet availability high through proactive actions.
  • Diagnose and resolve charger, communication, electrical, electronic, and control-system issues using remote support and on-site troubleshooting.
  • Plan, coordinate, and support the commissioning of new EV charging systems alongside installers, electricians, platform technicians, and customers.
  • Integrate EV chargers into local grids, EMS controllers, OCPP backends, shared-meter setups, and other customer systems for safe, seamless operation.
  • Lead complex on-site fault resolution, replace malfunctioning components, and ensure all work complies with applicable electrical safety requirements.
  • Document recurring quality issues and maintain accurate customer and issue data to support product, R&D, manufacturing, and service improvements.

Your profile

All right, that was intriguing, wasn’t it? To feel confident in this role and grow with us over the long term, your background could look a lot like this:

  • You bring hands-on experience in an electro-technical field, strong practical troubleshooting skills, and enthusiasm for green technology.
  • You understand TCP/IP network systems and are comfortable using command-line tools to investigate network-related issues.
  • You have experience with, or a strong interest in, OCPP and Modbus TCP communication protocols.
  • You can read and interpret electrical single-line diagrams to diagnose system performance and faults.
  • You are confident using Microsoft Excel and/or statistical analysis software, while Linux knowledge is a strong advantage.
  • You communicate clearly and patiently with technical and non-technical customers, and you have English at B2 level or above; German at B2 level is advantageous.
  • You are based in Germany, open to up to 60% travel for customer visits, training, commissioning, and troubleshooting, and have valid authorization to work in Germany.
