Your duties

Hey there and welcome to your new Opportunity with us.
Being an engineering asset manager is a challenging task therefore, these here are your most important tasks: 
  • Asset Performance Monitoring: Manage the day-to-day operation of battery storage assets, continuously monitor performance data, and ensure systems are meeting or exceeding operational expectations.
  • Maintenance Strategy: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for energy storage systems, ensuring minimal downtime and longevity of assets.
  • Operational Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency of battery storage systems through technology upgrades, software optimization, and data-driven insights.
  • Data Analytics: Collect and analyze performance data from battery systems, leveraging insights to improve operational efficiency and extend asset life.
  • Vendor & Contractor Management: Coordinate with third-party service providers, OEMs, and maintenance teams to ensure timely interventions and repairs.
  • Compliance & Regulatory: Ensure that all operations are in compliance with local regulations, including safety, environmental, and electrical standards.
  • Budget & Financial Planning: Monitor operational expenses, prepare budgets for asset maintenance, and ensure cost-effective management of storage assets.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Contribute to sustainability targets by optimizing energy storage systems to improve their environmental impact.
  • Reporting: Provide regular performance reports to senior management and stakeholders, detailing asset performance, incidents, and improvement strategies.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with the operations of storage systems, ensuring safe and reliable operations.

Your profile

All right, all right, so I hope you are now aware of what is up for you, what background should you have in order to feel comfortable with this role?
  • Familiarity with lithium-ion batteries, energy storage systems, and renewable energy technologies. 
  • Any electrical training Certification is a plus. If you are a trained electrician with proven field experience it's a big plus.
  • Experience with energy monitoring platforms and optimizing energy storage for market participation.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in service, specifically within energy storage or renewable energy sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of battery storage systems (BESS) technology and energy markets.
  • Experience with SCADA systems, data monitoring tools, and asset management software.
  • Knowledge of energy regulations and compliance standards in Europe.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to handle technical challenges and provide actionable solutions.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage external contractors and vendors.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to create detailed reports and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel within Europe as required for site inspections and meetings.
