Your duties

As a Legal & Contracts Advisor, you will work as a member of the Legal and Contracts Department and you will be responsible for negotiating, drafting and overseeing sales contracts relating to Sungrow’s projects in Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark. In addition, you will be responsible for all legal matters arising in the aforementioned countries including legal counselling, legal advice, claims, corporate matters etc. 

In detail, you will, amongst others:
  • Review, draft and negotiate sales agreements, contracts and other legal documents and support sales and other teams with the contracting strategy. 
  • Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to stakeholders in the organization and deliver training when required. 
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on legal reforms and developments in case law; maintain the company’s legal database; research and evaluate current and new regulations and legislations related to the business. 
  • Give accurate and timely counsel to management in a variety of legal topics, including contracts, claims, dispute, regulations etc, and conduct the necessary legal research. 
  • Collaborate with management to prepare efficient defence strategies for the company.
  • Work closely with the Compliance Officer to specify internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance.
  • Conduct legal review of the company’s processes and policies in different fields.
  • Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authorities, courts of law, etc.)
  • Based in Stockholm; hybrid work possible.

Your profile

All right, all right, so I hope you are now aware of what is up for you, what background should you have in order to feel comfortable with this role?

Requirements and skills
  • Qualified in Swedish law 
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate and business law and procedures.
  • Prior work experience as an in-house lawyer or in or for the energy sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies.
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity
  • Sound judgement and ability to analyse situations and information.
  • Outstanding written and spoken communication skills in Swedish and English (at least C1); ideally, in Danish, Norwegian and/or Finnish as plus.
  • Experience in contracts review, negotiation and management. Preferably energy contracts, FIDIC and NEC contracts.
