Your duties

As a member of our team, you will help to shape the success of our projects in various applications worldwide. You must have a genuine passion for engineering products that will fundamentally change the world’s energy infrastructure and must want to work in a fast-paced, technically engaging environment
Being a Remote Service Engineer EV is an exciting task, since you are the superhero our clients need. You know what setup of our solutions will satisfy their needs, therefore, these here are your most important tasks:
  • Investigate why EV charger is not working as expected and establish the repair plan for the system.
  • Troubleshoot complex communication problems among inverters, energy meters, onboard controllers, and potentially also SCADA devices.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical/electronic and control system problems across different applications which occasionally may involve also renewable sources
  • Remotely update networking devices to resolve identified issues and restore operation to the system
  • Remotely commission new EV charger for Sungrow customers, including configuring them to customer’s specifications, updating the equipment’s software and firmware, and functionally testing the equipment.
  • Review single line diagrams when troubleshooting large scale EV charger systems site level issues
  • Support customers and field technicians working with Sungrow’s EV charging Products using remote diagnostic tools and troubleshooting.
  • Report reoccurring quality problems to the product engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Configure Sungrow’s controller network settings as per customer’s requirements to enable communications with customer controller and any meters shared with customer.
  • Maintain and update the content and structure of Sungrow’s customer and equipment databases
  • Develop a deep specialized knowledge of the proprietary tools developed by Sungrow  to monitor the fleet for potential issues
  • Support continuous improvement of data processing techniques used by Sungrow’s internal tools to evaluate performance and find malfunctions.

Your profile

All right, all right, so I hope you are now aware of what is up for you, what background should you have in order to feel comfortable with this role? Keep in mind it`s all about electrical equipment, that`s why it is essential for you to have:
  • Experience within the electro-technical field.
  • Enthusiasm for green technology.
  • Background in a customer service environment is a plus.
  • Proficiency with the Linux programming environment is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of communication systems and protocols such as TCP/IP, including the tools available at the command line interface to troubleshoot network communication issues is a good plus.
  • Can interpret electrical single line diagrams.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and/or professional statistical analysis software.
  • Understanding of a technical support environment and processes, including ability to document case histories clearly, accurately and with detail. Ability to prioritize workflows effectively according to multiple criteria. Experience with CRM systems, mobile case/ticketing systems, bug tracking systems.
  • Personal skills suitable for frequent direct contact with non-technical customers in technical troubleshooting scenarios.
  • Ability to independently make decisions and solve problems with limited direction.
  • Grasps basic concepts of electricity (AC/DC, current, voltage, resistance, power vs. energy etc.).
  • Proficiency in English at least C1, proficiency in any other language is a plus
  • Once fully trained and proficient you could work from home 3 days a week but you must be based in the Netherlands  and willing to occasionally going on-site for training and troubleshoot.
  • An EU (European Union) passport or work permit is required for this position but we can also evaluate for a potential relocation.
