Your duties

We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated EV Charge Field Engineer to join our team in the EU. The primary responsibility of the EV Charge Field Engineer is to ensure the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. As an EV Charge Field Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services to our customers and ensuring that our EV charging infrastructure is running efficiently.
This role will coordinate with service internal team and service partner to support all technical needs for internal team and customers. To coordinate training team to support sales, installer, EPC for any technical need.
  • Installation and Commissioning: Work with the installation team to ensure the safe and effective installation and commissioning of electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform regular maintenance checks, repairs, and troubleshooting activities to ensure optimal functioning of electric vehicle charging stations. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities performed.
  • Testing and Commissioning: Conduct testing and commissioning activities to ensure that electric vehicle charging infrastructure is operating at optimal levels.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and assistance to customers, partners, and other team members, responding promptly to inquiries, and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct site inspections to assess the suitability of locations for electric vehicle charging infrastructure installations, considering environmental factors, safety considerations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all activities related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Prepare detailed reports on field activities, including site inspections, installation, and maintenance.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer concerns and ensuring their satisfaction. Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment, when performing site inspections, installations, and maintenance activities.

Your profile

  • Education: in electrical engineering, Electronics, or a related field. Relevant certifications or specialized training in EV charging infrastructure would be advantageous.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a field service, maintenance, or related role, preferably in the electric vehicle charging industry.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of EV charging infrastructure, including charging station hardware, communication protocols (e.g., OCPP), and related software. Proficient in troubleshooting electrical systems, interpreting technical documentation, and using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to explain technical concepts effectively to non-technical individuals. Additional language proficiency in Dutch would be beneficial.
  • Customer Focus: Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and support. Ability to empathize with customers, understand their needs, and provide timely and effective solutions.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to identify and resolve technical issues systematically, considering various factors and constraints.
  • Adaptability: Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and customer demands. Willingness to travel extensively to different locations across the EU for site visits or installation purposes.
  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
