Your duties

This role is ideal for candidates who are eager to gain hands-on compliance experience within the renewable energy sector, focusing on EU and UK regulations. The intern will play a crucial role in supporting the development and management of the internal compliance systems and conducting in-depth compliance and policy research. Flexible working hours and potential for remote work.
  • System Development Support and Management: Assist the Compliance and IT teams in building and implementing an internal compliance registration system to centralize all compliance requests. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the compliance management system, handle standard requests, distribute existing policies and documents, and escalate complex issues to the appropriate teams. 
  • Regulatory Research: Conduct thorough research on relevant laws, regulations and industry standards affecting the company’s operations. . Summarize and communicate regulatory updates to the Compliance and Legal teams. 
  • Policy Development: Assist in the research, drafting, and review of company policies and procedures. Support the update and maintenance of the policy library to ensure all documents are current and compliant with UK regulations. 
  • Administrative Support: Perform administrative tasks such as organizing and summarizing meetings, collecting feedback from various departments, and ensuring smooth communication within the team.

Your profile

  • Educational Background: Currently pursuing or recently graduated with an undergraduate or graduate degree in Social Sciences, Humanities, or related fields.Experience: Previous internship or work experience in a legal, compliance, or policy-related role. Strong understanding of UK regulatory landscape and compliance requirements is favourable. 
  • Skills: Strong research capabilities; Excellent writing and presentation skills; Strong written and verbal communication skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant research and productivity tools. 
  • Characteristics: Demonstrates effectiveness in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment; Technologically adept with a strong interest in compliance and regulatory issues.
  • Languages: Fluency in English is required (at least C1); Additional languages are a plus.
