Your duties

We are looking for a Senior Key Account Manager to lead strategic client relationships and drive utility-scale sales within the UK energy sector. This hybrid role requires a high-performing individual with experience managing large utility clients, engaging with stakeholders at all levels—including C-suite—and a strong track record in consultative selling and team leadership.
 
As Senior KAM, you will:
  • Manage and expand relationships with major utility clients in the UK.
  • Own the commercial strategy and sales lifecycle from lead generation through to post-sales engagement.
  • Serve as the central point of coordination across internal and client stakeholders, including technical, legal, commercial, and executive teams.
  • Lead or mentor others in the sales team where appropriate.
  • Represent the company at high-profile industry events, mainly in the UK and Ireland (limited international travel required).

Your profile

  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager, preferably in the energy sector, renewables, storage (ESS), or grid infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex B2B sales cycles, preferably with utility or grid operators.
  • Skilled in interfacing with relevant stakeholders, including CXO-level decision makers.
  • Experience in leading or mentoring others in a commercial or client-facing environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking with hands-on execution ability.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational and reporting abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
 
Key Requirements
  • In-office presence required min. 3 days/week in Milton Keynes.
  • English Fluency. Other languages an advantage.
 
Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow strategic utility accounts in the UK, acting as the primary commercial contact.
  • Lead commercial and contractual negotiations for large-scale energy projects.
  • Drive account planning and execution aligned with business and revenue goals.
  • Share key market and client insights to support product and service strategy.
  • Mentor team members and maintain clear communication with senior management.
