Here in Italy, the energy landscape is evolving rapidly, and we are looking for a dynamic and technically astute ESS Technical Sales Manager to join our team and accelerate our growth in the exciting Energy Storage Systems market.

If you are a passionate sales professional with a deep understanding of energy storage technologies and a drive to make a tangible impact on Italy's green transition, this is for you:

  • Lead and execute the sales strategy for Sungrow's Energy Storage System (ESS) solutions across Italy, focusing on large-scale utility, commercial, and industrial (C&I) segments.
  • Identify, develop, and manage a robust pipeline of ESS projects, from initial lead generation through to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Act as the primary technical and commercial point of contact for key clients, partners, and stakeholders, building strong, lasting relationships.
  • Conduct in-depth technical presentations and solution demonstrations, effectively articulating the value proposition of Sungrow's ESS products and services.
  • Collaborate closely with Sungrow's engineering, product management, and project delivery teams to ensure optimal solution design and seamless project execution.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments within the Italian ESS sector, adapting sales strategies accordingly.
  • Achieve ambitious sales targets and contribute significantly to Sungrow's market share expansion in Italy's rapidly growing energy storage market.

Your profile

Alright, that was intriguing, wasn't it? Now, in order to fit into this role and be happy for a long time, your ideal background should look a lot like this:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in technical sales or business development within the energy storage, renewable energy, or power electronics sectors.
  • Strong technical understanding of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), including system architecture, components, and applications.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • A strong network within the Italian energy market, including developers, EPCs, utilities, and C&I clients.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently while also being a strong team player.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales pipeline management.
  • Fluency in Italian (C1 or above) and English (C1 or above) is essential for success in this role.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across Italy to meet with clients and attend industry events.
