Your duties

The Electrical Works Supervisor is the legally appointed person-in-charge for overseeing electrical work within a company. This role ensures that all electrical installations and activities comply with Finnish regulations, safety standards, and project requirements.

  • Act as the legally responsible supervisor for electrical works as required by the Electrical Safety Act.
  • Guide and supervise electrical work at all job sites under your responsibility.
  • Ensure that all personnel performing electrical work have adequate professional skills and are properly instructed.
  • Appoint an electrical safety supervisor for each job site.
  • Provide necessary tools, instructions, and manage the external framework of electrical work.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, including the Occupational Safety and Health Act (738/2002).
  • Verify that electrical equipment and installations meet safety requirements before commissioning or handover.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and notify Tukes of your appointment and any changes.
  • Continuously update and maintain professional skills and knowledge of current electrical safety requirements.

Your profile

All right, all right, so I hope you are now aware of what is up for you, what background should you have in order to feel comfortable with this role? Keep in mind it`s all about electrical equipment, that`s why it is essential for you to have:

Education:
  • Degree or vocational qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Must hold a valid certificate of qualification (S1, S2, or S3) issued by SETI Oy.
Experience:
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical installation, supervision, or project management.
  • Proven track record in managing electrical works in compliance with Finnish regulations.
Skills:
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent understanding of electrical systems and safety standards.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple job sites.
  • Good communication skills in Finnish and English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and electrical design software is an advantage.
