Your duties

Hello and welcome to Sungrow UK! We are looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to help grow our utility-scale PV business and bring more clean energy projects to life across the UK. This is a 35-hour-per-week position offering the opportunity to shape business growth while contributing to a more sustainable energy future.

  • Identify, assess and develop new utility-scale PV business opportunities across the UK market.
  • Build strong relationships with developers, EPC partners, investors, utilities and other key industry stakeholders.
  • Expand and manage a high-quality pipeline of solar PV opportunities aligned with Sungrow’s growth strategy.
  • Lead commercial discussions, support negotiations and help shape competitive project proposals.
  • Monitor market trends, policy developments, grid conditions and competitor activity to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Work closely with sales, technical, legal and regional teams to move opportunities from early-stage discussions into successful partnerships.

Your profile

  • Experience in business development, project development, sales or partnerships within utility-scale solar, renewables or the energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of the UK solar PV market, including key stakeholders, development processes and commercial drivers.
  • Confidence building trusted relationships and presenting value propositions to senior external partners.
  • A proactive, structured and entrepreneurial approach to identifying and progressing new opportunities.
  • Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • English C1; additional European languages are a plus.
